How to Make Your Own DIY High Value Squeeze Treat Tubes for Your Dog
Hello!
If you’re here I am assuming that you are a super rad pet parent that loves to train their dog(s) using food reinforcement. If that’s true, I am so glad that you landed here.
Do you ever get grossed out from grabbing stinky, mushy high value rewards?
Or maybe it’s cold where you live and you either have to freeze your fingers to feed treats, or you just let your gloves take one for the team.
How about you pet parents who could mistake their dog for a shark just from the way that they take treats?
Here is a solution for you…
You can find the reusable squeeze tubes that I use here!
There are so many amazing reasons to use squeeze tubes however, I’ll name just a few and let you truly see how awesome they are for yourself.
Your hands stay CLEAN! No touching slimy, stinky treats when using squeeze tubes.
The recipes you can make are endless!
Perfect for muzzle training and treating dog’s who wear muzzles.
To help you get started, here are some easy recipes that your dogs will love!
Isn’t that easy!? Here’s another one!
2 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 - 1 cup blueberries
1 boiled sweet potato
1/3 can chickpeas - liquid included
Pour in some of the water used to boil the sweet potatoes
Blend until smooth and pour into squeeze tubes!
Time for the last recipe! I truly hope that you find inspiration in these to try out with your pups! If you give them a try or even create your own recipe that your dog goes crazy for, tag me in them on Facebook or instagram! I love to see all of your successes, creative ideas and training sessions with your dogs.
Now, for that last recipe…
1 can of tuna - liquid included
1/3 can chickpeas - liquid included
1 boiled sweet potato
Pour in some of the water from the boiled sweet potatoes.
Blend until smooth and pour into your squeeze tubes!
Store a few in the fridge and stick the rest in the freezer, pull them out as needed for a ready to go high value reward.
Now, if that’s a little too extra for you… I totally get it!
Greek yogurt blended with peanut butter, canned dog food and plain meats blended with water are also great options! I’m just extra extra when it comes to my dogs!
Hope your pups enjoy!
