Dog Training Methods
The training methods that you use when training your dog matter. They matter a lot!
My training methods involve using LIMA (least intrusive and minimally aversive) methods which are humane and effective training tactics.
Now, let’s dive even deeper into that.
I use a science-based training approach involving the use of force-free, positive reinforcement and mark-and-reward “clicker” training.
This is achieved through constantly growing my knowledge on the most effective and humane ways of training.
Along with this, as a certified dog trainer I follow The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior’s recommended training methods in their position statement.
When working with dog guardians, the goal is for the trainer and guardian to work together. To focus on establishing a strong bond between the guardian and the dog while teaching desirable behaviors.
A well educated trainer will guide you through the ins and outs of your dog’s behavior, their body language, coach you through teaching them new behaviors and fine tune your daily routine to better meet your dog’s needs.
You can go ahead and ditch the prong collar, e-collar, slip leads and choke chains. It’s about to be 2022 and thanks to science, we have learned much more effective ways to train dogs.
When working with me as your dog trainer, we will be highlighting your dog’s strengths all while empowering them to overcome their weaknesses. You will achieve quick results through immediate management plans while I teach you how to teach your dog life-lasting behaviors.
Together we will set your dog up for success by providing them with the tools that you both need to fulfill a successful partnership through the use of humane, force-free and fun training methods! This is dog training that you can feel good about!
PS… my books are opening 12/1/21, I hope you’re excited because I am!
